- Works on standard posts (/p/) and Reels (/reel/) from public accounts
- No Instagram login required — reads only what is publicly visible
- Returns a clean card with scalable servings, tappable checkboxes, and a link back to the creator
What it doesn't do
- It cannot watch the Reel video or read on-screen text in clips
- It cannot follow links, read bios, or access linked external pages
- It cannot read posts from private accounts
- /tv/ posts, /stories/, and instagr.am short links are not supported

What Instagram link formats work?
instagram.com/p/ID (standard posts) and instagram.com/reel/ID (Reels) are supported. /tv/ posts, /stories/, and instagr.am short links are not currently supported.
Does it work on private accounts?
No. The tool reads the public page without any Instagram login. Posts from private accounts are not accessible.
What if the recipe is in the video, not the caption?
The tool reads the post caption only. It cannot watch the Reel video or read on-screen text overlays. If the creator spoke the recipe but did not write it in the caption, use "Paste text" mode and type or paste the recipe yourself.
The caption says "full recipe in bio" or links to a website — does that work?
No. The tool cannot follow links, read bio pages, or access external sites from Instagram. If the recipe lives on a separate website, copy that URL and paste it into the extractor instead — it works on most recipe sites.
Do I need an Instagram account or a Cut Recipe account?
Neither. The tool reads public posts without any login. Up to five extractions a day are free without signing in to Cut Recipe.
What should I do if it returns "no recipe found"?
The caption did not contain anything that looks like a recipe. Try "Paste text" mode: open the post, tap the caption to expand it, copy the text, and paste it into the text box.
